മനുഷ്യരാശിക്ക് ശാന്തിയും അഭയവുമായി  പിറന്ന യേശു നാഥൻ്റെ തിരുപ്പിറവി ലോകജനതക്കൊപ്പം ബഹറിൻ കേരളീയ സമാജവും സമുചിതമായി ആഘോഷിച്ചു. 

ബഹറൈൻ സർക്കാറിൻ്റെ    കോവിഡ് മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങൾ പാലിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നടത്തിയ ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ പുതുമയും വൈവിധ്യവും കൊണ്ട് ജനശ്രദ്ധ നേടി.

സമാജം മെംബർമാർ ആലപിച്ച കരോൾ ഗാനങ്ങളും ക്രിസ്തുമസ് സന്ദേശങ്ങളടങ്ങിയ  നൃത്തങ്ങളും  കൂടാതെ സമാജം വനിതാ വിഭാഗം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച ക്രിസ്തുമസ്സ് കരോൾ യാത്രയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

തുടർന്ന് നടന്ന സമ്മേളനത്തിൽ  ശ്രീ വർഗ്ഗീസ് ജോർജ്ജ് സ്വാഗതമാശംസിച്ചു . ബി കെ എസ് പ്രസിഡണ്ട് ശ്രീ പി.വി.രാധാകൃഷ്ണപിള്ള അദ്ധ്യക്ഷനായിരുന്നു. സമാജം ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറി ശ്രീ വർഗ്ഗീസ് കാരക്കൽ ക്രിസ്തുമസ്സ് ദിന സന്ദേശ പ്രസംഗം നിർവ്വഹിച്ചു.

ക്രിസ്തുമസ്സ് പരിപാടികളുടെ കൺവീനർ ജോർജ്ജ് ജെയിംസ് നന്ദി പ്രസംഗം നടത്തി.

രണ്ട് ക്രിസ്തുമസ്സ് പാപ്പമാരും മനോഹരമായ പുൽക്കുടും  ക്രിസ്മസ് പാപ്പയുടെ കൂറ്റൻ രുപവും മാറ്റുകൂട്ടിയ പരിപാടിയിൽ വിഭവ സമൃദ്ധമായ ഭക്ഷണം ഒരുക്കിയിരുന്നു

കോറോണയുടെ  സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ രണ്ട് തവണ മാറ്റി വെച്ച ബാലകലോത്സം നിറയെ പുതുമകളോടെയും പ്രത്യേകതകളോടെയും ആവും  ഈ പ്രാവശ്യം സംഘടപ്പിക്കുക. സമാജത്തിന്റെ ഡയമണ്ട്  ജൂബിലി ഹാൾ, രവി പിള്ള  ഹാൾ, യൂസഫ് അലി ഹാൾ, ബേസ്‌മെന്റ് ഹാൾ,  ബാബുരാജൻ ഹാൾ,രാമചന്ദ്രൻ ഹാൾ  എന്നിവ കൂടാതെ പുതുതായി പണി കഴിപ്പിച്ച മൾട്ടിപർപ്പസ്  ഹാൾ ഉൾപ്പെടെ ഏഴോളം വേദികളിൽ ഒരേ സമയം മത്സരങ്ങൾ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കാൻ  ഉള്ള സൗകര്യം ഒരുക്കി വരുന്നതായി ഭരണസമിതി അറിയിച്ചു . ഈ വർഷം, ബഹറൈനിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന താൽപ്പര്യമുള്ള  മുഴുവൻ ഇന്ത്യൻ കുട്ടികൾക്കും മത്സരങ്ങളിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാം                    
ഇരുന്നുറോളം ഇനങ്ങളിൽ അഞ്ച് ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളിലുമായി ആയിരത്തിലധികം കുട്ടികൾ പങ്കെടുക്കുമെന്നാണ്  പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നതെന്നു  കൺവീനർ ദിലീഷ് കുമാർ പറഞ്ഞു.
കലോത്സവ പരിപാടികളുടെ സുഗമമായ നടത്തിപ്പിനായി ഇരുനൂറോളം  വാളണ്ടിയേഴ്സ് ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്ന സംഘാടക സമിതി രൂപീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

The Grand inauguration of “BKS-Bahrain International Challenge 2021" Badminton Tournament was held on 23rd November 2021 7.45 pm at the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam Diamond Jubilee Hall  Said BKS President Mr. P. V. Radhakrishna Pillai, Mr. Varghese George, Acting General Secretary in a press release.

Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation President Dr.Sawsan Taqawi, BKS President Mr. P. V. Radhakrishna Pillai, BKS acting General Secretary Mr. Varughese George , Vice President Mr. Devadas Kunnath, Treasurer Mr. Manoj Surendran, Membership Secretary Mr. Sarath Nair, BKS Indoor Games Secretary Mr. Paulson Lonappan, Entertainment secretary Mr. Pradeep Patheri , Librarian Mr. Vinoop Kumar V. , Literary Wing Secretary Mr. Firoz Thiruvathra and BKS-Bahrain International Challenge 2021 tournament director Mr. Prasobh Ramanathan were attended the function.

Day 2 highlights at 6 pm.

  Bahrain International Series (BIS 2021) Men’s Singles winner Bobby Setiabudi of Indonesia crashes out of the tournament in the first round, he lost the match to Chan Yin Chak of Hong Kong and China (20-22,18-21)

 Bahrain Star and Arab Cup Men’s Singles Winner Adnan Ebrahim advanced to the next round, he beat Shreyansh Jaiswal of India in a thrilling three game encounter,

(11-21,21-19,21-19) he will have his next round match later today against the Number One Seed player from Indonesia, Ikhsan Leonardo Imanuel RUMBAY.

 First round and second round matches are progressing at the time of preparing this report, All the quarterfinals match in all the five categories would be completed on day 3 (25^th Nov) , Semifinals on day 4 (26^th Nov) and finals in all disciplines will be held on the 27^th Nov 2021.

The BIC is the highest category event that is held on the island, the tournament is sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF) which carries world ranking points and a total prize pool of USD 15,000.

 This year’s event has seen the biggest turnout in the tournament’s history with nearly 200 players from 25 countries. Players from Indonesia and India form the biggest contingents. The event has become truly global with participation from European countries like Belarus, Malta and Belgium to Central Asian countries like Turkey and Azerbaijan. This year we are even having a small contingent from across the Atlantic and pacific oceans with players from the United States of America and Australia. The remaining players are from Russia, Indonesia, Egypt, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Estonia, Mladives, Canada, Syria, Iraq, UAE, Pakistan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and South Africa.

 Entry is free on all days as per COVID-19 Protocol and BKS welcomes all badminton enthusiasts in the Kingdom to support the event and to witness high quality badminton action.
