Bahrain International Series (BIS 2021) Men’s Singles winner Bobby Setiabudi of Indonesia crashes out of the tournament in the first round, he lost the match to Chan Yin Chak of Hong Kong and China (20-22,18-21)
Bahrain Star and Arab Cup Men’s Singles Winner Adnan Ebrahim advanced to the next round, he beat Shreyansh Jaiswal of India in a thrilling three game encounter,
(11-21,21-19,21-19) he will have his next round match later today against the Number One Seed player from Indonesia, Ikhsan Leonardo Imanuel RUMBAY.

First round and second round matches are progressing at the time of preparing this report, All the quarterfinals match in all the five categories would be completed on day 3 (25th Nov) , Semifinals on day 4 (26th Nov) and finals in all disciplines will be held on the 27th Nov 2021.
The BIC is the highest category event that is held on the island, the tournament is sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF) which carries world ranking points and a total prize pool of USD 15,000.
This year’s event has seen the biggest turnout in the tournament’s history with nearly 200 players from 25 countries. Players from Indonesia and India form the biggest contingents. The event has become truly global with participation from European countries like Belarus, Malta and Belgium to Central Asian countries like Turkey and Azerbaijan. This year we are even having a small contingent from across the Atlantic and pacific oceans with players from the United States of America and Australia. The remaining players are from Russia, Indonesia, Egypt, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Estonia, Mladives, Canada, Syria, Iraq, UAE, Pakistan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and South Africa.
Entry is free on all days as per COVID-19 Protocol and BKS welcomes all badminton enthusiasts in the Kingdom to support the event and to witness high quality badminton action.
